For my Digital Poster, I decided to create a poster that reflects the benefits of using Canva within the public relations field. This was done by outlining what Canva is, the benefits of the site, how to utilize the site professionally, and how to specifically benefit from the site as a public relations professional.   

In the creation process of making my Digital Poster, I knew I wanted to create a poster that outlined the benefits of a website or source for public relations professionals. With this, I looked at many websites and sources to find a useful site. I then came upon Canva and saw the numerous resources it provides for public relations professionals and decided that this was the best resource to use for this project.

As I worked to design this poster, I utilized numerous design principles including balance, scale, contrast, movement and rhythm. Balance was applied in the fact that a symmetric design of equally sized columns of information was used to represent each section of information. Scale can be seen between the information and images as it is utilized to put more of an emphasis on the information rather than the examples. Contrast is apparent in the use of different bold colors not only between the columns but also between the text within them. This makes the poster easy to read and understand. Lastly, the design element of movement and rhythm is shown through the columns, not all being aligned with each other. Having the different alignments helps guide the eye from one part of the poster to another, this in turn keeps them engaged and focused on the material.

            Reflection on this project I am proud of the result. I feel that this is a strong digital poster that informs and motivates public relations professionals to employ this website in their careers.
